Happy, successful children embracing "life in all its fullness" (John 10:10)
Our classes are named after inspirational people who have made a positive impact on the world through their creativity, determination, courage and achievements. Carefully chosen by our teachers, each class role model provides an opportunity for children to learn about an individual whose values and experiences can inspire their own learning journey.
During the first half term, pupils explore the life and accomplishments of their class namesake, discovering the challenges they faced, the contributions they made, and the qualities that helped them succeed. These stories help bring our curriculum cornerstones of Communication, Curiosity and Community to life. Children develop their communication skills by sharing their ideas and learning about influential voices from the past and present. They are encouraged to be curious, asking questions and exploring the wider world through the experiences of their role model. Through community, pupils learn how individuals can make a positive difference to the lives of others and how they too can contribute to their school, local area and beyond.
By celebrating these remarkable individuals, we aim to inspire our children to dream big, believe in themselves and recognise that they have the potential to make a difference in their own unique way.
