Nursery Funding & Charges
(Updated for 2025 DfE Statutory Guidance requirements)
Our Funded Early Education Offer
At Brailsford C of E Primary School, children can access either:
15 funded hours per week (5 morning sessions or 2 full days + 1 morning)
30 funded hours per week, if eligible. Parents may check eligibility via the government Childcare Choices website.
All children are entitled to receive their funded hours completely free of charge, with no mandatory fees attached to any part of the funded entitlement. This reflects the DfE requirement that the 15 and 30 hours must be fully accessible without any compulsory cost to parents.
NB A child attending full sessions Monday to Friday will attend for 32.5 hours which exceeds the maximum amount of funding available. 2.5 hours will be charged as Additional Hours as detailed below. We will always work with parents to bring attendance in line with funding if required.
We can work with you to arrange a timetable to suit your needs, and can include wraparound care in funded hours, providing you have adequate entitlement.
Please ensure that you have applied for your funding by the deadline before your child starts.
You can apply close to the date of your child’s 2nd birthday.
Funded hours may be used for wraparound provision, for information on our wraparound offering please visit: https://www.brailsford.derbyshire.sch.uk/parents-info/before-after-school-care
